We are pleased to report that earlier this evening the Eastern Carver County School District (ECCS) and Chaska Education Association (CEA) reached a tentative agreement on the 2023-2025 teacher contract. The next steps in this process will be the approval of CEA members and ratification by the ECCS School Board, which we anticipate will be completed in April.
This comes after months of hard work by both district and CEA negotiators. The tentative agreement is a reflection of the value of our teachers and licensed staff while holding true to the district’s priorities. We know that our community has been deeply invested in the outcome of these contract negotiations and are grateful for their ongoing support of our educators and the district.
There is always more work to be done, and we will continue to collaborate as we do the important work of serving our students. Tonight we are grateful for what we have accomplished together and are moving forward in partnership.
