People pursuing a career as AIN’S (Assistance in Nursing) in hospitals and who wants to pursue further studies in Nursing in Diploma and Bachelor’s level.
Entry requirementsThere are no academic prerequisites for the HLT33015 Certificate III in Individual Support. But you need to have reasonable English language, literacy and numeracy to successfully complete the course (LLN). In addition Immunisation record, working with children check and Police Clearance Certificate is mandatory prior to your work placement. Therefore you must undertake a Federal Police Check (AFP) or NSW Police check (it must be no less than 3 years old).
*Note: As part of work placement, the students must be physically be able to do moderate amount of lifting using the appropriate equipment. The students should not have any mobility, hearing, and vision problems to carry out duties efficiently in aged care, acute care and community care settings whilst at placement.
PathwaysIn addition, on completion of the Certificate III, you can receive credits for units that make up the Certificate IV qualifications of Allied health, Diploma in Nursing and Bachelor’s in Nursing. After successful completion of this course students are able to work in the following positions in any hospital settings.

You may have developed a number of skills in community care, through previous employment opportunities, life experience or formal studies. If this is the case then you should ask about recognition of prior learning. This may shorten your course. For example, if you hold a current First Aid Certificate from a recognised RTO you will be given Credit Transfer for the first aid unit.

Course Fees: $1,800
Note: The RTO will decide the course fees based on the credit transfer and units ofcompetency to achieve the qualification. Fees are payable by Cheque, Money order, Cash, Internet or Bank Deposit (See Enrolment Form for details). Other arrangements may be made based on individual needs.
